My ammendment for this project is the second amendment, The Right to Bear Arms. The right to bear arms allows anyone to own a gun, if a license is issued. Licenses are not allowed to be issued to felons or the mentally ill. The gun must be kept by a citizen with a civilian license. It also must be disassembeled or on a trigger lock. The gun may be used for self-defense or hunting. While serving on active duty in the military, a civilian license is not required. In general, non-citizens are not allowed to be issued licenses for guns, but, there are different exceptions in different states. (non-citizen gun rules found at:
