Fifth amendment, Rights of the accused:

The accused can only be prosecuted if the federal government obtains an indictment, or formal
accusation from a grand jury. The fifth amendment also says that the accused can not be tried
twice, also know as double jeopardy, unless a court sets aside a conviction because of legal
error. Also, a person on trial cannot be forced to testify, or give evidence. A person also accused
of a crime is entitled to a fair trial. Lastly, the government cannot seize property without paying
the owner a fair price.
