    BUS
The bus ride to PEEC was exactly how I expected. Since I didn’t get to attend the PEEC meeting it was the first time I spoke or even saw any of the Lavallette kids. At first I was nervous about what they were going to think about me, but I was also curious to see what they were like as well. In the begging of the bus ride I was in the front with all the Bay Head School students but toward the end I was sitting in the back with everyone even though it was still a little awkward. I was also anxious to finally get there. The bus ride back was very different from the bus ride there. On the way there I mostly sat with Anna but on they way back I sat with James, Branson, and Kyle and I was surrounded by my new friends at Lavallette.

    Team Building
Team building was a very interesting experience! It was a good activity to really get to know each other and see what the other students were like. We had to get through obstacles that related to our real life. We had to get everyone on a little platform, get through a bog, cross over to another island, get through a window on the titanic, and get over a huge wall. My favorite part of the team building was trying to get everyone in my group on that little platform. I found it to be very challenging it was also cool to hear everyone’s ideas; in the end when we put our heads together we could achieve anything!

    Two Ponds
The Two Ponds trail was different than I expected, although we had the opportunity to see two beautiful ponds, Mr. Kennedy took us on the wrong trail to get back and we ended up taking a 3mile hike rather than a 1 mile trail. Although I did a lot of complaining, I got to know the kids better on this trail than in any event before this. We had a lot of time to talk so I learned a lot about them. One of the girls in my group ended up being the number 2 bowler in world for her age group! Also, on the trail I had the opportunity to see some very beautiful and interesting plants and animals, in some ways I’m glad Mr. Kennedy took us on the wrong trail.

    Confidence Course
The confidence course was a very fun experience! I loved it. The best part about it was that we were not broken up into groups so we got to do everything together. We walked across logs hanging in the air, tried to make it from tree to tree on little swing, walked across a tight rope only holding another rope hanging in the air for balance, and much more! It was so cool to see what everyone was good at, for example even though I do not have the best balance I made it over the hanging log in a matter of seconds. It was great, and it really did build my confidence!

    Wild Life
The Wild Life a PEEC was beautiful and scary at the same time. During our hike I saw and heard so many beautiful things. During one hike Mr. Kennedy tried to feed Sydne and I to a bullfrog! My favorite part was hearing about the bats. Unfortunately, lately all the bats have been dying by the thousand because of a plague found in the caves. It was very interesting.

    Bonfire
The Bonfire was one of the best parts of PEEC. Lucky I got to experience it because kids in the past have not. Everyone got to sit around and eat marshmallow, gramchrakers, and chocolate until we all delicious smores. They were so goods that I had four! Not only was it a good time to get to know each other it was also a good time to listen to the sounds of the night and have a good time with all our friends at the same time!

    Stream Study
Stream study was really exciting and I saw many beautiful creatures. We took a long hike and when we finally got there I was amazed by how pretty the stream really was! We were right near a small waterfall. I was really surprised to see all the animals we caught, my group with Sydne and CJ must have caught about 15 frogs. It was cool to see what these animals look and felt like up close. It was really a hands-on experience

    Zelanka
Zelanka was so much fun! In Zelenka all the kids got into one room and there was a strange man there with lots of boxes. He came to teach us all about many animals, some cute, and some just plain out gross. I got to hold a baby mouse and see and alligator being put to sleep! The only bad part about it was that I was so tired from the long day that I unfortunately fell asleep during the exhibit so I missed Sydne wearing a snake but everything else was great and I will never forget it!

    Orienteering
Orienteer was an interesting experience. Groups got sent out into the woods to go find marks hanging on the trees only using a compass and a map. I was in a group with Syd and TJ. We were supposed to find mark C but unfortunately we only made it to the other side of the park, considering I held the compass the wrong way! Luckily we had a mad and eventually found our way on to a trail and found our way back safe and sound(:
