All students at Bay Head School attend music classes once a week on Thursday. Weekly lessons include exploring new songs, learning and playing simple rhythmic instruments, games and

movement.

Any students in grades 3 to 8 who enjoy singing and performing are also invited to participate in the school chorus, which meets once a week during the school day.

Third grade classes are also taught the precorder as an introduction to playing an instrument. Students from grade 3 and up who are interested in in learning to play, may choose from the following; flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, or drums. Students are able to rent instruments or use a good working used instrument for lessons. All lessons are offered during the school day on Monday.  Band rehearsals are held from 3:00 to 3:30 Monday afternoons. Students will be notified of their schedules and start date for lessons and Band.
